ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to determine the frequency and potential relevance gene polymorphisms in susceptibility severity rheumatoid arthritis (RA). genotype allelic frequencies nucleotide were determined cases with RA healthy controls. There not statistically significant differences between allele analyzed when patients where compared control group. -238AG, showed tendency late beginning pathology, years (p=0.046) without surgery. tendency, high levels (RF) (p=0.06). alellic differ those reported "antioquena" population they are comparable some Caucasian populations. results suggest that our these more related development RA. Key Words: Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), polymorphisms, tumor interleukine, factor, susceptibility.
