摘要: We discuss a simple method, based on maximum likelihood, to estimate the rates of extinction and recolonization species, for example, an island. Our method applies both regular sporadic surveys thus allows one use time series with missing data. When only few have been conducted, it may be possible lump data from several species. The shape likelihood surface indicate whether lumping is appropriate.
