摘要: : The use of the mechanoluminescence (ML) technique to directly observe Portevin–Le Chatelier (PLC) effect is described. A uniaxial tensile test an aluminium alloy plate coated with SrAl2O4 : Eu2+ (SAOE) ML-sensing film was performed, and a high-speed camera recorded ML images simultaneously. Strong light in response PLC bands emitted from SAOE could be seen clearly naked eye. position, slope angle band front propagation velocity were measured images. Momentary interplay between two face-to-face propagating observed captured results show that real-time visualisation achieved using this technique.
