摘要: We analyse urban growth forms by means of a 2D microeconomic model where households value green space at neighbourhood scale. analytically demonstrate that cities can grow more densely when have the possibility to enlarge in which they space, thus emphasizing importance planning particular for facilitating short trips and views amenities. also show simulation size form city, relative neighbourhoods, impact on decision leapfrog land or not, impacting emergence scattered urbanisation patterns. conclude carefully addressing spatial arrangement buildings within units constitute an effective policy lever attractive way deliver sustainable cities. further argue our theoretical experiment with complementary analytical computer-based provides micro-economic reasoning main elements Garden City unit concepts.
