摘要: Arguably the most important development in Canadian workplace recent years has been massive introduction of information and communications technologies (ICT). The impact this on a range variables, including productivity wages, are manifold, but still poorly understood. Julie Turcotte Lori Whewell Rennison Finance Canada examine effects education, training technology use wages at firm level. They make innovative Statistics Canada’s Workplace Employee Survey, which allows linking characteristics workers to performance measures. find that is higher: more intensively used firm; greater proportion university educated workers; participation formal programs; who receive computer training; firm’s export orientation.
