摘要: Pituitary tumor induction by ionizing radiation appears to be a scopal (direct effect. Fission neutrons appeared have greater relative biological equivalent in inducing them than x rays. Gonadectomy prior irradiation prevented or inhibited pituitary development. The radiation-induced tumors observed were predominantly adrenotropic and mammotropic, with the exception of head-neck groups, which thyrotropic frequent. spontaneous mammotropic. (auth)
