摘要: Psychostimulants such as methamphetamine (MA) induce significant alterations in the function of hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis. These changes HPA axis are associated with altered stress-related behaviors and might contribute to addictive processes relapse. In this mini-review we discuss acute chronic effects MA (adult developmental exposure) on axis, including genes/proteins, brain regions, anxiety depression. A better understanding mechanisms through which affects may lead more effective treatment strategies for addiction.
