摘要: SYNOPSIS. Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) with pyruvate, or adenosine diphosphate phosphoenolpyruvate, favor the development of Plasmodium lophurae removed from its host erythrocytes and kept extracellularly in vitro. It seemed possible that parasites might be deficient enzymes glycolytic cycle concerned generation ATP. The ATP content duck infected P. was lower than uninfected cells. Infected erythrocytes, however, had somewhat higher contents both pyruvic kinase phosphoglyceric did ones. Both these could found free parasites. Furthermore, inactivated by freezing thawing, whereas erythrocyte not affected. will necessary, therefore, to look further for basis favorable effect pyruvate on developing
