摘要: Ability of Newcastle disease virus (NDV) to elicit antibody response and clinical illness was assessed in poultry workers from 12 districts Punjab, Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa capital areas Pakistan through a cross sectional sero surveillance. Blood samples collected 465 exposed 25 unexposed individuals were tested for titer against NDV modified horse RBC haemagglutination inhibition (HI) test. Among different worker groups, the highest geometric mean (GMT) value 149 recorded vaccinator’s group followed by attendants (86); lab technicians (65); veterinari ans (61) butchers (26). districts, GMT (160) Haripur, Sialkot Toba Tek Singh Multan (139); Gujranwala (130); Faisalabad (113); Bahawalnagar (98); Lahore (80); Rawalpindi (75); Chakwal (53); Sheikhupura (53) Islamabad Occupation/group district wise seropositivity (85.71%) (82.14%) whereas that lowest butcher’s (20.63%) (9.68%). No marked evidence individuals. It concluded continuous exposure initiated humans without causing illness.
