Radioimmunoassay for the Middle Region of Human Parathyroid Hormone: Studies with a Radioiodinated Synthetic Peptide*

摘要: We radioiodinated a synthetic fragment representing residues 44-68 from the middle region of human parathyroid hormone (hPTH). At least 90% purified [1125I]- hPTH-(44–68) was able to bind anti-hPTH serum. Antibodybound [l25I]hPTH-(44–68) could be rapidly and efficiently separated nonbound radioligand by dextran-coated charcoal. [125I]hPTH-(44–68) not degraded after 72-h incubation in undiluted plasma at 7 C, it stable for many weeks -20 C 1% albumin buffer. [l25JhPTH-(44–68) used develop midregion specific PTH RIAs. The immunoreactive concentration above upper limit normal range 39 43 patients with primary hyperparathyroidism.
