摘要: Abstract The spectral interference of polarization modes in a highly birefringent (HB) fiber to measure temperature is analyzed theoretically and experimentally. A tandem configuration delay line sensing HB considered the interferograms are modelled for known birefringence dispersion under test. As line, quartz crystal suitable thickness employed resolve channeled spectrum. spectra recorded different temperatures polarimetric sensitivity temperature, determined range from 500 850 nm, decreasing with wavelength. It demonstrated that possible using wavelength interrogation, i.e., position given maximum dependent. test −0.25 nm/K resolution better than 0.5 K.
