摘要: Study design An elderly women with tumoral calcinosis between the C1 posterior arch and C2 lamina is reported. Objectives To describe a rare occurrence of in spine discuss its pathomechanism. The calcium phosphate crystals that have identified are those hydroxyapatite. Methods calcified material was removed, crystalline phase analyzed. Results Neck pain relieved by removal material. Scanning electron microscopy energy-dispersive x-ray microanalysis revealed consisted pyrophosphate dihydrate. Conclusions should be included among clinical presentations dihydrate crystal deposition disease.
