摘要: Abstract Gizzard shad Dorosoma cepedianum, threadfin D. petenense, hybrid gizzard x shad, and alewives Alosa pseudoharengus were collected from Cherokee, Dale Hollow, Old Hickory reservoirs, Tennessee, January 1984 through December 1984. Samples analyzed for proximate composition (moisture, ash, protein, fat) gross energy content. Overall ranges of nutrients all collections determined: Moisture, 69.7–84.9%; 12.0–32.5%; 45.4–79.1%; fat, 3.3–31.5%; energy, 3.92–6.06 kcal˙g−1. Changes in moisture percentages within an age-class a species primarily the result changes fat percentage. In general, content increased summer, peaked during fall, declined winter. Seasonal variations reproductive condition, as well differences age sex, causes body species. Proximate clupeids examined si...
