摘要: Coastal flood maps covering the whole European continent have become available in recent years. However, their ability to complement or replace high-resolution local was not investigated so far. In this paper we compare pan-European estimates of extreme sea levels and coastal extents at given return periods with observations reference maps. The analysis is done for two assessments one global study. We find that whereas models good accuracy estimating storm surge heights, large disparities exist between large-scale four from England, Netherlands, Poland France. Moreover, underlying digital elevation model assumptions about protection existing a area influence significantly results. Additionally, first projection temporal trends size zones presented, without assuming levels.
