摘要: Local activation of macrophages may play an important role in the immune process pulmonary infections and inflammatory response lung allograft rejection. To document macrophage within human allografts displaying various complications, we have investigated ICAM-1 expression freshly isolated alveolar (AM) from lung-transplant recipients by immunocytofluorimetric analysis, rIFN gamma induced vitro ELISA. A total 21 bronchoalveolar lavage fluids (BAL) 13 transplanted patients no complication, acute rejection, bacterial/fungal infection, or CMV infection entered study. was expressed at a higher level rejecting patients. Surprisingly, TNF alpha release AM upon significantly decreased during Furthermore, studied effects glucocorticoid dexamethasone, key drug for treatment on AM, levels protein production transcription. Whereas dexamethasone did not influence it downregulated least part transcriptional level. Our results suggest strongly that anti-inflammatory corticosteroids are related to modulation but downregulation proinflammatory cytokine is produced early process. Moreover, our model appears useful tool investigation cellular molecular targets drugs more appropriate use.
