摘要: CONTEXT Diagnosis and management of pyoderma gangrenosum, a chronic, ulcerative cutaneous inflammatory disease often associated with systemic disease, requires multidisciplinary approach. No large-scale, controlled trials have been conducted and, as consequence, the knowledge this condition is largely based on anecdotal reports. OBJECTIVE To investigate current understanding diagnosis gangrenosum. DESIGN Critical review article. Two hundred eighty-six articles, limited to articles in English pertaining humans, were retrieved reviewed from MEDLINE search spanning years 1960-2000. CONCLUSIONS gangrenosum consultation by multiple specialists different fields medicine. Treatment individually tailored depends severity presence disease. Local treatment sufficient for mild use immunosuppressive agents reserved severe or refractory cases, cyclosporin being agent choice. The long-term outcome these patients has not established.
