摘要: Abstract The overall purpose of this paper is to analyze the factors affecting households' decisions to: (a) switch a new electricity supplier; and (b) actively renegotiate contract with prevailing supplier. study based on 536 survey responses from Swedish households they are analyzed econometrically using probit regression techniques. analysis theoretical framework, which embraces both economic psychological motives behind household decision-making. results show that anticipate significant benefits choosing more active behavior also likely purse this, while those smaller potential gains (e.g., without electric heating) less change supplier and/or their contracts. impact costs knowledge about these particularly important for latter decision, respondents perceive relatively high search information an alternative Moreover, constraints time, attention, ability process information, may lead optimizing analyses being replaced by imprecise routines rules thumb, status quo appear represent one simplifying rules.
