New developments in the WAVE W-band mission

摘要: In this paper, an overview of the evolution towards second phase (A2) WAVE (W-band analysis and verification) project is made, timeline for development a future pre-operative space mission defined. This includes definition number advanced preliminary W-band applications such as utilization M-55 Geophysica manned stratospheric aircraft experiments on channel propagation in 94 GHz 82 GHz; introduction LEO nano-satellite IKNOW (in-orbit key-test validation W-band) which used first uplink-downlink satellite characterization in-orbit technology qualification processes. These are expected to provide necessary elements realization GEO payload defined phase-A project.
