摘要: Arabidopsis plants were transformed with a multi-gene construct for expression of the polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) biosynthetic pathway containing gene switch that can be activated by commercially available non-steroidal ecdysone analogs approved use on some crops as pesticides. T1 progeny transgenic isolated and screened PHB production in presence analogs. T2 derived from selected lines subjected to further analysis comparing levels prior treatment inducing agent 21 days after initiation induction. Significant was delayed many engineered until up 14.3% per unit dry weight observed young leaves harvested applications commercial analog Mimic®. older reached 7% weight. This study represents first step towards engineering chemically inducible using agents are field use.
