摘要: [1] A new magnetostratigraphy and magnetic susceptibility cyclostratigraphy from Middle Triassic basinal sediments at Rio Sacuz, northern Italy, suggests a depositional duration of ~1 myr for most the 670 m carbonate Latemar Platform, giving high-resolution estimate Latemar's deposition. The Sacuz clarifies ambiguities in previous magnetostratigraphic study caused by lightning strike remagnetizations. Our was unaffected lightning. Using thermal demagnetization, we show Normal-Reversed-Normal-Reversed sequence Latemar-correlated locality Sacuz. With polarity interval ~0.25–0.5 Triassic, this gives ~1–2 myr. Rock experiments that carrier is magnetite, suggesting primary, depositional-age remanence. Measurement 1 intervals reveals eight short eccentricity cycles (~95–125 kyr) bundled into slightly more than two 405 kyr long indicating precise section 0.8 to shorter required forces sub-Milankovitch time scale 1–2 platform's meter-scale rhythmic bedding provides strong evidence nonorbitally driven climate change Triassic.
