Low pressure tritium interaction with Inconel 625 and AISI 316 L stainless steel surfaces: an evaluation of the recombination and adsorption constants

摘要: Abstract The surface constants for the recombination ( σk 2 ) and adsorption 1 of tritium in Inconel 625 austenitic stainless steel AISI 316 L were determined from measurement permeation through engineering components (bellows) typical those used on large fusion devices which will operate with tritium. Experimental measurements performed over temperature range 450–620 K an interpretation data was attempted based a surface-limited release model. At partial pressure 0.1 Pa present machine such as JET, flow is strongly influenced by reactions. Furthermore, it often assumed that oxide layers, acting barriers, are components. However, effectiveness, barriers must be intact this may not necessarily case mechanical stresses can lead to cracking. estimated both stationary continually flexing bellows.
