摘要: All patients with medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) diagnosed in Sweden during 1959 through 1981 were recruited for study from the Swedish Cancer Registry. Among a total of 249 patients, 66 1969 and 183 1970 1981. Apparently sporadic MTC was present 186 familial 63. Twenty-seven clinical symptoms 36 by screening. In both group symptomatic group, approximately 80% had palpable tumors. Lymph node metastases 44% 37% MTC, distant 20% each these groups. The detected screening differed significantly two groups cases having lower frequency lesions (50%), smaller tumors, frequencies cervical lymph (14%) (0%). Multivariate analyses revealed no significant differences between regarding tumor size or stage. Large tumors (greater than 3 cm) more frequently accompanied nodes associated an four times higher risk 1 cm. Women favorable stage distribution age-related men.
