摘要: Medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or C-cell is a rather young endocrinopathy, i.e., its rareness in combination with discrete clinical symptoms explains why it was only realized as entity about 30 years ago. Hazard et al. (1959) recognized the typical amyloid pattern and differentiated MTC from melting pot of cancer. A few later, calcitonin discovered by Copp (1962) Hirsch (1963) — however, some passed before ultimobranchial origin demonstrated 1967 (Bussolati Pearse 1967). One year later became evident that exerts endocrine activity secreting excessive amounts (Meyer Abdel Bari 1968). Since then has been handled specific disease quite different malignancies thyrocytes.
