摘要: The aberrant expression of microRNAs is associated with development and progression cancers. Down-regulation miR-124 has been demonstrated in the hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), but underlying mechanism by which suppresses tumorigenesis HCC remains elusive. In this study, we found that tumor growth through targeting signal transducers activators transcription 3 (STAT3). Overexpression suppressed proliferation induced apoptosis HepG-2 cells. Luciferase assay confirmed binding to 3′-UTR region STAT3 inhibited phosphorylated proteins Knockdown siRNA cells mimicked effect miR-124. miR-124-transfected effectively rescued inhibition cell caused Furthermore, xenograft nude mice implanted reducing expression. Taken together, our findings show functions as suppressor STAT3, may therefore serve a biomarker for diagnosis therapeutics HCC.
