摘要: Social relationships imbue life with meaning, whereas loneliness diminishes one's sense of meaning in life. Yet the extent interdependence between these psychological constructs remains poorly understood. We took a multivariate network approach to examine resting-state fMRI functional connectivity's association and large cohort adults (N = 942). Loneliness were negatively correlated one another. In their relationship individually parcelled whole-brain measures connectivity, significant reliable pattern was observed. Greater associated dense, less modular, connections default, frontoparietal, attention perceptual networks. A greater increased, more connectivity default limbic Low modular brain lower higher between-network connectivity. These findings advance our understanding as distinct, yet interdependent, features sociality. The results highlight potential role central hub, providing putative neural mechanism for shifting feelings isolation purpose.
