摘要: One of the major problems affecting ecosystem health is exposure heavy metals due to anthropogenic activities. These exposures may induce toxiogenetic damage and carcinogenesis in aquatic organism. DNA biomarkers for fish species detect genotoxic parameters ecological risk assessment. In present study, effect (Cr, Cd, Cu, Fe Mn) on oxidative stress Clarias gariepinus was examined by Comet assay at Reference site two different sampling sites Orontes River. Moreover, relationship between physiological response caused C. investigated seasonal water samples one year. this Cr, Cd Cu column River concentrations Mn liver tissue were highly exceed maximum permissible limit set EPA (1999, 2016) WHO (1989) TEG (2012) that can cause adverse effects environment health. Pearson correlation detected MDA, African catfish. Consequently, study exposed metal pollution lead better understanding genotoxicty, relationships.
