摘要: We report a micro-Raman spectroscopic study of fuel cell membrane subjected to testing until significant decline in efficiency was noted. The membrane, poly(vinylidene fluoride)–graft–poly(styrene sulfonic acid), PVDF–g–PSSA, produced by electron irradiation PVDF film, grafting with polystyrene and subsequent sulfonation. Depth profiles show that severe degradation due loss acid has occurred during the run. remaining amount is order 5–10% initial content. Confocal Raman spectroscopy found be an excellent tool for investigating changes composition after experiments.
