摘要: After previous studies had shown that125I-tetanus toxin is taken up with high effeciency by all (adrenergic, sensory and motor) peripheral nerve terminals that it transported retrogradely intraaxonal transport to the corresponding cell bodies, present experiments were designed investigate whether125I-tetanus could be used as a tool for retrograde tracing of fiber connections in central nervous system how results obtained compared other available methods. Three 12 h after injection of125I-tetanus into rostral part nucleus caudatus rat, heavily labeled cells found substantia nigra zona compacta, Forel field H2 parts incerta, specific thalamic intralaminar nuclei (nucleus medialis pars lateralis parafascicularis). Moderately neurons observed ventralis thalami its dorsomedial part, raphe dorsalis frontal, cingular occipital cortex. Besides labeling transport, orthograde radioactivity occurred striatonigral system. The sensitivity reliability this method, even very small amounts protein volume, represent important advantages over most commonly methods.
