摘要: Abstract Protein interactions in undersaturated and supersaturated solutions were investigated using static dynamic light scattering small angle x-ray scattering. A morphodrom of lysozyme crystals determined at 35°C pH=4.6 was used as a guideline selecting the protein precipitant concentrations. The osmotic second virial coefficient, B 22 , by At low ionic strengths for which no formed, positive indicating repulsive between molecules. Negative higher corresponds to attractive where crystallization becomes possible. two extreme salt concentrations, data collected fitted with statistical mechanical model based on Derjaguin–Landau–Verwey–Overbeek potential Random Phase Approximation. This accounted well condition constant parameters. very high concentration corresponding solution this seems fail, possibly due presence non-Derjaguin–Landau–Verwey–Overbeek hydration repulsion
