Small cell carcinoma of the gall‐bladder with intestinal metaplastic epithelium

摘要: A case of small cell carcinoma the gall-bladder is described. Immunohistochemically, tumor cells were positive for chromogranin A, synaptophysin and neuronspecific enolase, which suggests that they derived from neuroendocrine cells. The overlying surrounding epithelium showed intestinal metaplasia including goblet cells, pseudopyloric glands, Paneth's synaptophysin-positive endocrine Definite adenocarcinoma was absent. in more numerous vicinity tumor. present supports supposition (including carcinoma) may develop metaplastic lesion.
