摘要: Abstract The effect of vacuum from 100 to 700 mm Hg (gauge) in accelerating the tempering process parboiled paddy double-pass drying was studied. required obtained by a combination soaking treatment at 80°C for 0·75 h first-stage and 70°C 3·5 second-stage followed steaming 98·07 kPa 600 s. In all experiments, first-pass carried out with hot air 90°C up critical moisture content, treatments second-pass 75°C fluidized bed dryer. For accelerated vessel provisions control, measurement relative humidity, quick loading unloading developed. Completion monitored using index based on humidity overhead space grains vessel. content drying, minimum total in-dryer time as 20·48% d.b. A progressive reduction observed increase level applied. Compared control sample 95% completion tempering, achieved levels above 500 50%. 100% maximum 72% compared (gauge).
