摘要: The production of L forms from cocci, the conditions necessary for their multiplication, and morphology have been studied several years. In each strain studied, only a few organisms produced forms. Transplants these grew poorly at first, growth on agar in broth became abundant after long cultivation. Multiplication form small granules was observed when were embedded occasionally coagulated blood serum. On surface hard agar, increased size but did not multiply. Abundant developed membrane filters appropriate size, extending into as branching irregular masses. gelatin, most samples serum, silica gel, to very large colonies by multiplication bodies. This occurred enlargement separation fragments. Growth semisolid also bodies, but, addition, development viable inside bodies culture. After began grow abundantly, nutritional requirements simple; they no longer required animal Their ability multiply morphological characteristics depended extent physical properties environment.
