摘要: L-form colonies derived from a Group D streptococcus showed alterations in fine structure during propagation. For the first 6 months after preparation L-forms were capable of reversion and fibrillar lamellate inclusions found some cells. Fibrillar bundles, composed fibrils with an external diameter 12.5 nm attached to cytoplasmic membrane large 20 μm surface Small, 1 cells within agar contained periodicity 14 nm, also membrane. In empty both appeared as hollow fibrils. The composition these structures is not known. Long filamentous evaginations small proportion After 15 months' propagation, when had become stable, filaments no longer visible.
