摘要: Heart failure due to nonischemic dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) contributes significantly the global burden of cardiovascular disease. Myocarditis is, in turn, a major cause acute DCM both men and women. However, recent clinical experimental evidence suggests that pathogenesis prognosis differ between sexes. This seminar provides contemporary perspective on immune mediators myocarditis, including interdependent elements innate adaptive response. The heart's response injury is influenced by sex hormones appear determine subsequent risk chronic DCM. Preliminary data suggest additional genetic variations may account for some differences epidemiology, left ventricular recovery, survival We highlight gaps our knowledge regarding management women with discuss emerging therapies, bromocriptine treatment peripartum cardiomyopathy.
