摘要: Objectives: This study evaluated the effectiveness of group cognitive behavioural therapy (GCBT) for treatment anxiety disorders in children over an initial period 12 weeks and to one-month follow-up. Parents receiving GCBT participated adjunctive psycho-education sessions effect these on parental was also evaluated. Methods: Participants were children, six male female, aged between 11 15 years who attending a child mental health service. interviewed with their parents symptoms assessed, using following measures: Anxiety Disorder Interview Schedule – revised, Children's Depression Inventory, Revised Manifest Scale, Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory Child Behaviour Checklist. Parental levels assessed Depression, Stress Scale. The randomly assigned into two age- sex-matched groups. While first received therapy, second acted as treatment-as-usual control (TAU) group. began after 10-week waiting period. All participants provided structured feedback intervention. Results: Group significantly effective reducing both child-reported depressive symptoms, physiological, worry total subscales There associated significant increases childrens' subjective general self-esteem, that relating self-confidence peers when engaging social academic pursuits. Diagnosis disorder reduced by average 67% immediately post-treatment, 72% onemonth follow-up reported reductions children's internalising thought attention problems. However, no positive changes own depression, stress symptoms. Conclusions: cognitive-behavioural is useful clinically intervention children.
