摘要: Antiretroviral therapy (ART) only partially restores HIV-induced alterations in lymphocyte populations. We assessed B and T cell phenotypes a cohort of children from single centre the United Kingdom with perinatally acquired HIV compared to healthy controls. The majority infected (44 56) were on fully suppressive combination ART. Children had significantly lower memory CD4(+) CD45RO(+) CXCR5(+) [follicular helper (Tfh)-like] percentages. Detectable viraemia was associated higher CD21(-) (activated exhausted/tissue-like memory) cells. A greater proportion life spent ART These results suggest that early sustained may preserve limit deficits humoral immunity. circulating Tfh-like cells appears be independent treatment history ongoing warrants further investigation.
