Analysis of biomass pyrolysis liquids: separation and characterization of phenols

摘要: The liquid products derived from biomass (fir wood) pyrolysis were separated by silica gel open-column chromatography. A fraction rich in ortho- and non-ortho-substituted alkylarylphenols was isolated. This characterized thin-layer chromatography gas identified IR, 1H 13C NMR spectroscopy subjected to chromatographic-mass spectrometric analysis. About 12–17% (w/w) of the consisted phenols, phenols contained phenol other substituted (85–95%, w/w). Aryl ethers can be produced catalytic alkylation phenolic compounds.
