摘要: Different species of bat can be morphologically very similar. In order to estimate the amount cryptic diversity among European bats we screened intra- and interspecific genetic variation in 26 vespertilionid species. We sequenced DNA subunit 1 mitochondrial protein NADH dehydrogenase (ND1) from several individuals a species, which were sampled variety geographical regions. A phylogeny based on (mt) data is good agreement with current classification family. Highly divergent lineages found two taxa, differed at least 11% their ND1 sequence. The mtDNA Plecotus austriacus correlated subspecies kolombatovici. Myotis mystacinus partitioned morphotypes. evidence for new within Europe discussed. Convergent adaptive evolution might have contributed morphological similarity distantly related if they occupy similar ecological niches. Closely may differ ecology but not necessarily morphology. On other hand, clearly different (Eptesicus serotinus Eptesicus nilssonii) genetically Neither nor sequence analysis alone guaranteed identify
