摘要: At early developmental stages (embryonic day 7, E7), chick paravertebral sympathetic ganglia contain a cell population that divides in culture while expressing various neuronal properties. In an attempt to identify factors control proliferation, we found ciliary neurotrophic factor (CNTF) specifically inhibits the proliferation of those cells markers. addition, CNTF affects differentiation ganglion by inducing expression vasoactive intestinal peptide immunoreactivity (VIP-IR). After 1 culture, tyrosine hydroxylase (TH-IR) was expressed about 86% whereas VIP-IR virtually absent. presence CNTF, 50%-60% after 4 days culture; however, none absence CNTF. These results, and demonstration express both VIP TH-IR, indicate is induced initially hydroxylase. The findings suggest potential role for as affecting developing neurons.
