Hydration in Mortars Manufactured with Ladle Furnace Slag (LFS) and the Latest Generation of Polymeric Emulsion Admixtures

摘要: Ladle furnace slags have successfully been used in the manufacture of masonry mortars. However, this type steelmaking waste is not easily mixed with other components, resulting separation mix water and insufficient hydration, which prevents proper setting hardening mixes. Two types new-generation admixtures were used, order to facilitate interaction LFS cement paste: polyacrylic ester PAE polymers a polymeric emulsion high molecular weight different proportions. Their influence on mortar properties fresh state, dosed variable amount LF slag, studied. The results show greater efficiency at retaining water, guaranteeing hydration components dispersion paste complete slag.
