摘要: Plasmodium knowlesi merozoites invade erythrocytes by a sequence of events: attachment, widespread deformation the erythrocyte membrane, endocytosis, and resealing membrane vesicle. The possible mechanisms which these events occur are discussed. In particular, there is detailed discussion role Duffy blood group system in invasion.
