摘要: Using an improved SDS-PAGE system, the polypeptides of major chlorophyll a/b light-harvesting complex PSII (LHCII) from tomato leaves were resolved into five polypeptide bands. All matched with genes encoding them by comparing amino acid sequences tryptic peptides gene sequences. The two LHCII bands (usually comigrating as a '27 kDa' polypeptide) encoded cab1 and cab3 (Type I LHCII) genes. A third strong band about 25 kDa was cab4 II) Polypeptides minor 23-24 not N-terminally blocked; their N-terminal showed they Type III proteins. One complete cDNA clone several incomplete clones for sequenced. Combined peptide sequences, results indicate that there are at least four different in tomato, almost identical polypeptides. Thus, all CAB have been identified, each type is distinct or tomato.
