摘要: The hypothesis that specific defects in synaptic and dendritic development of cerebral cortex may form the anatomical basis some cases mental defect has been examined by electron microscopy use Golgi-Cos method. Two types abnormality have identified to date. One is a lesion presynaptic terminals, first reported Gonatas Goldensohn (14) child with retardation myoclonic seizures. This lesion, consisting massive proliferation membranous structures terminal axons, appears be rare substrate one or more genetically determined dementing illnesses infancy. More commonly, from severely retarded shows number, length, spatial arrangement dendrites synapses, best demonstrated Golgi Such abnormalities found six out eleven brains individuals us. etiology was unknown majority; two had other recognizable developmental malformations brain. It suggested number different etiological factors, if active during period rapid growth (i. e., last trimester pregnancy end postnatal year) result stunted these structures.
