摘要: Soil sealing may be considered as a negative externality of the economic growth, because sealed soil loses several its ecological functions. The analysis land cover changes carried out by traditional data sources, allows only relatively rough estimation sealing, since it is process associated, although with different rates, to both urban and semi-natural use categories. aim this paper illustrate sampling procedure quantifying rate over time in Italy. was based on visual interpretation 12,000 plots from aerial photographs maps at times (1956, 1994, 1999, 2006). Results indicate that continuously increasing Italy throughout investigated period. highest found northern implications such dynamics have planning strategies aimed containing sprawl are finally discussed.
