摘要: The article explores the impact of European Union (EU) planning policies on southern Europe, by comparing experiences Mediterranean member states (France, Greece, Italy, Portugal and Spain). It is argued that Spatial Development Perspective (ESDP) other EU-led instruments have generated important changes in domestic patterns south spatial systems. These transformations are not product a forced compliance to EU models but outcome complex socialization learning processes enabling actors experience new ideas practices adapt their methods strategies accordingly. In this sense, they can be read as process cultural innovation within traditions promotes integration accommodating national diversity.
