摘要: Levels of acetylcholine (ACh) sensitivity and numbers alpha- bungarotoxin (alpha-Bgt)-binding sites have been measured for chick ciliary ganglion neurons grown in cell culture under various conditions. The two properties were found not to change parallel. Neurons maintained medium supplemented with embryonic eye extract developed high levels ACh low alpha-Bgt-binding sites, whereas containing elevated K+ concentrations displayed the reverse. from media both had toxin sites. growth conditions do alter basic binding receptors Both receptor dose- response characteristics pharmacological toxin-binding similar or concentrations. inhibitory effects on development appeared be specific: previously shown stimulate neuronal cholinergic development, present study enhanced no effect mechanisms responsible accumulation tetanus toxin. Eye did block alpha-Bgt competition experiments cause redistribution away soma. These results demonstrate that can independently regulated suggest membrane are associated separate components.
