摘要: The aim of the study was to investigate differences in cortical networks based on state consciousness. Five subjects performed a serial-awakening paradigm with electroencephalography (EEG) recordings. We considered four states consciousness: (1) non-rapid eye movement (NREM) sleep no conscious experience, (2) NREM (3) rapid (REM) and (4) wakefulness. applied graph theoretical analysis explore connectivity network properties five frequency bands. Connectivity between EEG channels evaluated weighted phase lag index (wPLI). characteristic path length, transitivity, clustering coefficient were computed evaluate functional integration segregation associated brain network. There significant wPLI among In beta band, wakefulness higher than sleep. Regarding segregation, theta transitivity experience stronger or REM sleep, but band showed an opposite effect. observed may be related bistability add previously neural correlates
