摘要: Plasma samples from 68 growth hormone (GH)-deflclent children (provocative serum GH level <7 ng/ml), 44 normal short chlldren, and 197 chlldren with height were assayed by speclflc radlolmmunoassays for the somatomedln peptldes, insulln-llke factors (IGF)-I -II. Eighteen percent of GH-de#clent had IGF-I levels wlthln range age, whereas 32% low levels. Low IGF-II found in 52% GH-deflclent but also In 35% children. However, only 4% plasma both IGF.I IGF-II. Furthermore, 0.5% 11% We conclude that elther or overlap comblnatlon may permlt better dlscrlmlnatlon among normal, short, (J PEDIAm 1986;109:428-433)
