摘要: Sulphonamides are still being used widely, influenced by the low cost and efficacy against many common bacterial infections, since they present a broad spectrum of activity. The aim this study was to determine effect age on pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) integration intravenous sulfamethazine (60 mg/kgbw) in cattle, possible therapeutic outcomes. Six healthy female calves, at one, three, seven fifteen weeks were used. Normality analysis assessed with Shapiro-Wilk test. Non-parametric tests for paired data Plasma concentrations quantified using HPLC/uv. Differences found between one-three-weeks-old calves seven-fifteen-weeks-old pharmacokinetic parameters (clearance, area under concentration-time curve elimination half-life) PK/PD integration. ratios obtained (T>MIC, WAUC) confirm that it is necessary apply twice dose ≥ 7 weeks-old cattle reach satisfactory dosage regimen (MIC 32 μg/mL).
