摘要: Abstract We report the design and synthesis of a novel squaraine–bis(rhodamine-6G) (SR)-based indicator for selective detection Hg 2+ ion. Sensing behavior toward various metal ions (M = Li + , Na Mg K Fe 3+ Co Ni Cu Zn Ag Cs Pb ) was investigated by UV–vis fluorescence spectroscopy in acetonitrile solution. The exhibited highly sensitive colorimetric “turn-on” fluorescent responses compared with other because soft-acid nature large size mercuric obvious change from colorless to pink upon addition could make it suitable “naked eye” . Finally, we proposed reversible ring-opening mechanism (OFF–ON) rhodamine spirolactam induced binding forming 1:1 stoichiometric complex SR–Hg which is supported density functional theory calculations. More significantly, sensor displayed remarkable blue-to-green switch presence ions.
